Showing
While Bavarian Mountain Hounds are very much a working hound, to be fit for function they must also have the correct conformation. In many parts of Europe, BMH have to undergo conformational assessment as well as the working tests and health tests prior to being permitted to be bred from. This is not the case yet in the U.K, however for those interested, Bavarian's can still undergo conformational assessment in the form of conformation shows.
In the U.K. and since 2007 Bavarian Mountain Hounds can be judged in "Any Variety Import" classes, which means these are mixed breed classes with other breeds on the import register.
From 2013, Import registered breeds can also be exhibited at Crufts. Up until this time, this was the only championship show that did not include classes for import breeds.
As at 1st April 2022, Bavarian Mountain Hounds will be moving onto the Breed Register and will qualify for Cruft as per normal.
A list of newly qualified B List judges can be found on the attached PDF file.
More information on show information can be found on sites such as Higham Press and Fosse Data .
